LG G6 will have a QHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio-the first in the world!

LG has carved a name in the tech world and is here to stay. Recently LG confirmed that the upcoming LG G6 flagship smartphone will boast a QHD+ screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. They hope that the wider screen will allow for a more immersive experience and would be optimized for multi-tasking and dual-screen functions. LG wishes to revolutionise the market by introducing the first ever QHD+ display with 18:9 aspect and have become forerunners in the market.

The 5.7-inch LCD panel will have a 1440 x 2880 resolution with 564 pixels-per-inch and will make use of LG’s proprietary in-TOUCH technology which eliminates the need for touch cover glass by using a touch sensor inside of the LCD cell, making it much lighter and slimmer.

Without the touch cover glass, the new display will also measure 1 mm in thickness, making it much slimmer than LG’s previous phones. Further, LG announced that the in-TOUCH displays perform much better in sunlight due to the embedded touch layer. These updates have created a frenzy in the tech world and have fans eagerly awaiting it's release.
