BlackBerry Mercury with QWERTY Keyboard Leaked in Live Pictures

As previous reports show that BlackBerry is completely shutting off its Business, now the last two mobiles Android mobiles DTEK50 and the DTEK 60 are prepping for their launch. The devices are named after the BlackBerry DTEK Android security application that debuted on the BlackBerry Priv.


The DTEK 50 is a modified and re-branded version of the Alcatel Idol 4 smartphone. The second smartphone DTEK60 is based on the TCL 950, a smartphone that was disclosed by Alcatel parent TCL in September this year.


Two images leaked on Weibo and showed up a smartphone, resembles to the device that was shown in first pictures appeared in an internal presentation. The smartphone is clearly visible and shows it front camera too, on the other side of the earphone there is an ambient light sensor and proximity sensor.


The upcoming device is supposed to be called BlackBerry Mercury. The smartphone is rumored to be the last device from BlackBerry with a physical QWERTY keyboard. The device is surfaced today on Weibo and leaked pictures show that the smartphone will resemble to the BlackBerry Passport.


It looks like a traditional smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard that borrows munificently from the Passport. At the moment, it’s vague whether the images of the smartphone are real or not, so we have to wait till the official announcement from the company.


The BlackBerry Mercury appeared on Geekbench with the model number BBB100-1, back in October. As per GeekBench listings, the device will feature a 4.5-inch screen with 720 x 1280 resolutions and it will be powered with Snapdragon 625 chipset, holds an octa-core SoC with a 2.02GHz clock speed. There will be 32GB internal storage and 3GB of RAM. A 3400 mAh juice pack keeps the device turn on. The smartphone bears an 18MP rear camera with 8MP front camera and it runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
