Meizu Metal 2 is Expected to Launch at June 13 Event in China

Meizu is expected to hold an event on June 3 in China, where it will probably unveil metal 2 device. The mobile has been spotted on TENAA and revealed its specification.

The image of the event was placed on Chinese social network Weibo by Meizu, it also exposed launch date. Some renders suggest that Meizu wants to develop its Blue Charm lineup with the launch of Meizu metal 2. Its predecessor Meizu metal unveiled last year in October. Last week some reports suggested that Meizu Metal 3 will be unveiled in may. 

 

According to leaks, the mobile will pack a 5.5 inch full HD display with 1920x1080 pixels resolution. The device will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core SoC clocked at 1.8GHz, and house a Mali T860 GPU. The smartphone is expected to come in two variants such as 2GB of RAM/16GB of inbuilt storage and 3GB of RAM/32GB native storage. It will also support microSD card for enhancing memory.

 

The mobile will hold 13MP primary camera with dual LED flash and the 5MP front camera. The Meizu metal 2 will run on Flyme OS based Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. The smartphone will be wrapped in metal body which feels nice and smooth in hands. A 4000mAh battery powers the device, it supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/ 5GHz), GPS, and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity. The Meizu metal 2 16GB variant is expected to carry CNY 999 (roughly USD $ 151), while 32GB variant is expected to be priced at CNY 1,199 (roughly USD $182). All above are rumored specifications so take them as pinch of salt and wait till the company officially launches the device.
