This is the first 64 bit phone with dual SIM option like other Galaxy flagships. Although Galaxy is a big name and Galaxy Grand is even more attractive catching the attention of the users that it would be a grand smartphone but Samsung has made it a mid range ordinary smartphone. Functionality is the focus of making this phone rather than making the screen more lucrative and has shed away extra pixels to make the screen more glaring.
Design
Galaxy Grand Prime is not really much different than others in the series and has the common features like Galaxy Grand 2, Grand Neo or Core 2 Dous. It is pretty good in design and fits well in the hand when operating single handed. It is more comfortable than Moto G. the front is arrayed with display, home button and back button and multi tasking. The buttons panel is not back lit because of the cost factor.
Display:
The Galaxy Grand Prime appears with 5 inches large display but the display uses TFT technology having 540x960 pixels resolution. Although the resolutions of the display is less in comparison with QHD display but the screen of the smartphone is not dim and gives the sharp and vibrant color effect to the users. The touch sensor of the screen is more efficient and work better in comparison with Motorola Moto G 2014. The viewing angle of the handset is well balanced but one deficit is present there and that is the light sensor and users set the brightness of the screen manually while using the handset is the sun light.
Software and User interface
Till now the Galaxy Grand Prime runs the KitKat version of Android and maybe in future the handset will receive the Android lollipop 5.0 updates. As usual the operating system is combined with Samsung’s own designed Touch Wiz user interface and Samsung gives the customized interface which is not packed with unwanted applications and places the new feature which is called disable apps from apps drawer and users can hide the apps by using this feature from the others if they want to hide.
Processor and Memory
The smartphone is powered with Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 processor paired with Snapdragon Quad Core 410 system on chip and Adreno 306 GPU which is the finest combination of hardware to run the entire handset smooth. Samsung placed 1GB RAM and 8 GB on board memory which can be extended up to 64 GB via microSD card. But users can consume only 5 GB from onboard memory remaining memory is consumed by the handset. Opening applications is faster than Moto G and Lumia 730 because of this composition of hardware.
Camera
The Galaxy Grand Prime has a pair of cameras. The rear camera is based on 8 mega pixel with LED flash and the front facing camera has the capacity of 5 mega pixel for taking the good selfies and this is the first mid range handset by Samsung in the selfies capturing device line of 5 mega pixels. Samsung puts some addition features in the camera like ability to edit ISO, exposure, add filters and effects there are also a host of shooting modes including Panorama, Night Mode and Beauty face.
Battery Life:
The smartphone is energized with 2600mAh battery which is considerably good enough for taking the handset on for a whole day and the mobile gives good battery backup in normal usage such as calls, browsing, email, causal gaming and social networking apps. If users use the handset with above mentioned purposes then the battery gives backup of 1.5 days instead of 1 single day.
Price and Availability
The handset was available since the month of October with the reasonable price tag of $250. This is the cost for this handy handset and users don’t need to pay more for buying this luxury Galaxy Grand Prime.

Like the other smartphones the Galaxy Grand Prime also have some good and some week points. The good points of the handset are; the display of the mobile is bright and vivid, The galaxy Grand Prime supports dual SIM cards and it has the finest combination of hardware as Quad Core processor and Snapdragon 410 system on chip.
Week Points:
Besides stated above plus points the device has a week aspects as well and the week points are; the pixel density of the device too low and the RAM of the device preferable to be higher than the placed one.

Galaxy Grand Prime is the first 64 bit mid range handset from Samsung for fulfilling the passion of Selfies with the placed 5 mega pixel front facing camera and the camera is not only the single plus point of the device along with the camera the handset has the superb combination of hardware and the operating system and user interface are more compact and easy but there are some flaws in the mobile which we already mentioned above. Well users have open option to choose the handset according to their requirements and their budget but Samsung lovers always prefer to use the product of their beloved manufacturer.
