Here is the detail of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, will release in 2nd half of 2017

The privately owned Chinese electronics company has been in a spotlight in the market with devices like Mi series and Redmi Note series smartphones. With the launch of Redmi Note 4 last year in August, the company boasted the installation of the Helios X20 chipset. Finally the arrival of the new device The Redmi Note 5 has been confirmed along with its price and specifications.

 

 

Price

Available exclusively for the Chinese market for the first few months of its release, the Redmi Note 5 will have two primary variants, one with 32GB storage and the other able to house 64GB. Priced at 1100 Yuans and 1300 Yuans respectively.

Specs

Redmi Note 5 will have a metal unibody supporting dual sim and fingerprint scanner at the back.

The device is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core chipset clocking at 2GHz OR MediaTek Helio X25 Deca-core chipset running at 2.1 GHz.

A 3GB/4GB of RAM will be set with the 2 variants of 32GB/64GB internal storage respectively, expandable to 128GB via microSD memory.

Display will be on a 5.5-inch 2.5d curved IPS screen projecting 1080p protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

For those into photography, the device will have a 16-MP f/2.0 rear camera with dual tone LED flash and an 8-MP wide angle lens front camera.

A 4100 mAh battery can be expected with fast charge 3.0 supported by a USB type-C port.

Redmi Note 5 will run on the latest Android 7.1 Nougat with Xiaomi’s MIUI 9 interface.

The device will be available in Gold, Silver and Black casings.

Release date

According to the sources, the Redmi Note 5 will be unveiled in the summer 2017 and will be exclusively launched in China. It is expected to make its way into the rest of the Asian market one month after the launch.
