Huawei Claims it has Sold 9 Million Huawei P9 Units Worldwide

Chinese company Huawei announced at an event on Thursday, and claims it has sold over 9 million Huawei P9 units worldwide till the date. The smartphone was launched back in April this year. Previously in September, the Huawei P9 announced that it has sold 6 million Huawei P9 units, meaning the firm sold extra 3 million units only in two months.


The main highlight of the Huawei P9 is its Leica’s dual rear camera setup; it has two 12MP rear cameras with f/2.2 lens. One camera captures monochrome images while the other camera captures colored pictures. The smartphone also has an 8MP front camera for good selfies.


The smartphone runs EMUI 4.1 based Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. It has 5.2-inch full-HD IPS LCD display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution. It is powered by Hi-Silicon Kirin 955 octa-core processor, has 32GB native storage and 3GB RAM. The connectivity options include Huawei P9 include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.1, Infrared, and USB Type-C.


It is available in Prestige Gold, Ceramic White, and Titanium Grey color options. The company also added another variant of the device which has 64GB storage and 4GB of RAM. The second variant is not available in a few countries. The device comes with a $518 price tag.

 

Huawei also unveiled Mate 9 smartphone with latest Kirin 960 chipset and second generation Leica camera on November 4.
