Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini Prime with 4-inch Display is available in the US

Like the Apple iPhone SE, Samsung has also launched a 4 inch smartphone. The device comes with model number J106B named as Galaxy J1 Mini Prime. The smartphone is available to purchase in the United States via eBay and Amazon. However, the company hasn’t announced the device properly so very few people know about it.

The Galaxy J1 Mini Prime is available for $86.99 at eBay, while Amazon is asking $89.99 for the same device. The device comes with AT&T 3G compatibility, dual SIM support, and unlocked. The T-Mobile customers can also use the device but only for 2G and the carrier is not phasing out its 2G network before 2020.

Design wise, Samsung Galaxy J1 Prime resembles to the Galaxy J1 (2016) which also has a 4.5 inch display. The Galaxy J1 (2016) was launched earlier this year. It has a 4 inch TFT screen with 480 x 800 pixel resolution and 233ppi density. It is one of the smallest displays we have seen recently.

The Galaxy J1 Mini Prime runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and powered by quad-core Spreadtrum SC9830 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. The smartphone has only 8GB native storage, but you can enhance memory with MicroSD card. In terms of camera, it has a 5MP rear camera with LED Flash and a VGA front-facing camera. The Galaxy J1 Mini Prime also has a 1 GB of RAM, and a 1500 mAh battery.

Apparently, the Galaxy J1 Mini Prime won’t impress anyone but it could be used as a backup smartphone. In addition, some reports claim that Galaxy C7 Pro will come with 16MP rear and 16MP selfie camera so let's wait till the device hits store shelves.
