Sony Xperia X Performance to Receive Android 7.0 Nougat Updates by the end of the 2016

Sony is rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat updates to its Xperia devices by the end of the year. Although the Xperia beta program is definitely not new. Formerly, the company had experienced Android 6.0 Marshmallow in numerous phones.


As per sources, the Android 7.0 Nougat beta updates will be partial when contrasted with the preceding releases of Android platform. Consequently, Sony is sending Android 7.0 beta update to only Xperia X Performance and only in few selective countries. Users of the device can expect widespread accessibility of the update by the end of 2016 or early 2017.


To recall, the Xperia X Performance packs a 5.0 inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The device is available in two variants- single SIM model has 32 GB memory, 3 GB RAM, and dual SIM variant has 64 GB storage with 3 GB of RAM.


The main camera is 23 MP with f/2.0, 24mm, phase detection autofocus, and LED flash. While, the selfie snapper is 13MP with f/2.0, 22mm. The Xperia X Performance supports fingerprint sensor and fast battery charging which charges the device 60% in 30 minutes. The device has a 2700 mAh battery and comes in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold, and Rose Gold color options.
