Oppo is a well recognized Chinese mobile maker; it is ranked as the second most successful smartphone company in China. The reality is that Oppo managed to compete with other companies such as Vivo, Samsung, Xiaomi, and Meizu. Previously launched Oppo R9 played a significant role in driving and boosting firm’s sales. The phone came along with Oppo R9 Plus and both devices are making good sales.
Apart from Oppo R9 and Oppo R9 Plus good sales, the company plans to launch another smartphone Oppo R9s. It is another variant of the existing devices and it will follow the traditional design of Oppo smartphones.
The Oppo R9s is scheduled to launch on October 19 during an event in China. There are already many teasers about the smartphone give hint it will pack an IMX398 camera sensor. The sensor is borrowed from Sony and the device will support a Super VOOC Rapid Charge technology.
The launch event is a week away and details about it have started to pop up. The current leak came from a popular leakster Steve Hemmerstoffer. The leakster shared some pictures of the Oppo R9s, the device resembles to its predecessor but a couple of changes in the design.
The main change is camera placement of upcoming smartphone, the camera is relocated to the opposite side while the antenna lines have been effectively concealed. Overall design and looks of the smartphone is much better than its predecessor.
The main and selfie camers are the same at 16MP and they brag the similar aperture of f/1.9, the lens makes the Oppo R9s stand out against other devices in Oppo line-up. This is the first time Oppo will use Sony sensor for its mobile. The Oppo R9s will come with 2500 mAh battery which is expected to give 10 hours of battery life.
