Microsoft Camera Expert Juha Alakarhu Returns to Nokia to Work on Virtual Reality

Microsoft is presently eliminating its Windows smartphone squad; the company laid off an additional 2,850 employees as it persists to retreat from its hardware industry. Even as the software giant has fundamentally shed all of the workers it hired for Nokia phone business acquirement, many of them are starting to find jobs in different organizations. Juha Alakarhu, is one of Microsoft's top camera experts, has left his job to go back to Nokia.

 

Alakarhu assisted Nokia to build up Nokia's PureView technology, and regularly appeared at Nokia’s press event to demonstrate the newest camera developments. Juha Alakarhu will work on virtual reality as the head of Nokia's Ozo VR camera. He isn’t the only one top camera expert that has left Nokia/Microsoft; Ari Partinen also left Nokia to join Apple after a few months when Microsoft announced its plans to acquire Nokia’s smartphone business. Partinen was a co-author of a paper detailing Nokia's PureView oversampling technology, together with Juha Alakarhu, Tero Vuori and Eero Salmelin. Currently Tero Vuori is working at Intel and Eero Salmelin is working at Microsoft.

 

A couple of days ago, a report informed that Nokia is working on Surface phones instead of most rumored devices Nokia 650 XL, and Lumia 2020.  As per rumors, the upcoming Nokia phones will come with a complete new design and latest specifications, the smartphones are expected to be unveiled at the end of this year.

 

Kevin Gallo, Microsoft’s Corporate VP of Windows declared that upcoming devices will be enterprise division focused. The company will launch a bunch of devices in its lineup some smartphone will be powered by Windows 10 and some will be Android powered. Let’s wait till Nokia gives something exclusive to its loyal customers.
