Oppo R9s is Up for Pre-orders in China

Oppo is working on Oppo R9s, for the past few months, many renders and rumors about the upcoming device have leaked. Some reports suggest that the smartphone is available for reservations in China.

The Oppo R9s is officially up for pre-orders on the manufacturer’s official website. The smartphone is rumored to officially launch on October 19. Currently, there is no pricing information about the smartphone, but we expect to hear it soon. The newly released render shows the device and its design in detail. It has a metallic back which seems decent and vibrant in Rose Gold color.


In the camera department, the Oppo R9s will do better than its predecessor. Its camera will be based on Sony-made IMX398 sensor. The primary and secondary sensor will be 16MP with the dual Pixel affair and f/2.0 just like Samsung Galaxy S7.


The device has leaked on AnTuTu website and revealed its specifications. The Oppo R9s has a 5.5 inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625, clocked at Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53, and coupled with Adreno 506. The Oppo R9s will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The Dual SIM device has 64GB internal storage, and 4GB RAM.


Early rumors suggest that the device will have a 3075 mAh battery but current listings reveals bit smaller battery. The connectivity options are Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, and hotspot. It supports fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass sensors. The Oppo R9s is powered by 3010 mAh battery and comes in Rose Gold and Gold color options. The smartphone is expected to carry a $450 price tag.
