Apple will Replace Defective iPhone 6s Battery Globally

As we reported earlier, Apple receives battery complaints about the iPhone 6s. Now Apple announced that it will offer a free battery replacement for worldwide customers who have experienced an unexpected shutdown with their iPhone 6s smartphones. Apple stated on its website Monday morning in Asia, Apple has identified that a very small number of iPhone 6s devices may suddenly shut down.


The company also said that, this is not a security matter and only influences devices inside in an imperfect serial number variety that were manufactured in September and October 2015. A Chinese consumer protection group, the China Consumer Association, stated that it had received reports that some iPhone units were shutting down even if half of their battery life stay.


Apple said that people who are facing issue regarding iPhone 6s battery can visit an Apple retail store or an official service provider to authenticate that their device was manufactured during the covered period.

 

Moreover, Apple is working on iPhone 8; the device is expected to come with many features. It will feature an OLED panel and rumored to support new wireless charging technology. Prices of iPhone 8 is also expected to increase because Apple is exploring on possibility of shifting its production to US from China.
