Apple iPhone 8 Rumored to Feature Iris Scanner

Apple launched the iPhone 7 about 3 months ago, and rumors about the next Apple flagship is already circulating around. The next smartphone is expected to come with improved features and expectations.

A new rumor suggests that iPhone 8 will feature an iris scanner for security enhancement. The iris scanner will allow users to unlock their device with an eye. There are reports that the company will eliminate the Home Button but it’s not known where the fingerprint scanner will be placed. The device is rendered to feature all glass body which will give it a unique look.


Apple’s rival Samsung has already introduced iris scanner technology in its Galaxy Note 7. Unfortunately, the device couldn’t do well and end up buried in the home country. The iPhone 8 is expected to come with edge to edge display for enhanced screen.


The premium model will have a 4.7 inch OLED display and it will be launched along with iPhone 8 Plus. The device will probably release in September 2017, so we will update you with the latest news and rumors about the device.


Some reports hint that Apple is looking for a supplier for OLED and curved screens, LG provides curved smartphone displays so Apple could consider LG as its supplier. It means like Samsung, Apple is also expected to launch a smartphone with a flexible screen. Samsung’s curved phone is under development phase which will see the light of the day in 2017.
