Nokia High-end Smartphones expected to come with Metallic Body and 2K Display

A couple of days ago, a mysterious Nokia smartphone powered by Snapdragon 430 SoC spotted on GeekBench site. The device is expected to come with 3GB of RAM and runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Now renders of another flagship level device called Nokia P1 hit the surface in two variant supports 2K display. Back in July, the rumors suggested that Nokia P1 will come alongside few tablets and smartphones by the end of 2016. Two Nokia Android devices are rumored to power by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset.

According to a report from China, Nokia P1 will be available in two sizes with HD panels, so we can expect that both devices would be high-end smartphones. The report shows that one variant will have a 5.2 inch display, while the second model will come with 5.5 inch screen. Both devices could feature AMOLED screens with 2K resolution. As per Chinese blog Anzhuo, the Nokia P1 is in prototyping phase, it will be IP68 certified so the device will be dust resistant and waterproof.

In terms of design, the smartphones will be wrapped in metallic finish so Nokia is jumping from its classic design and material. The report hints that Nokia could use camera sensors from its long standing grapheme endeavors. The grapheme helps to produce low light images with superior quality than the more ubiquitous CMOS sensors. For a decade Nokia is working on the development of the best cameras and it has a sturdy reputation in this field. Yesterday, Nokia D1C also spotted on GeekBench and revealed its listings.

The Nokia smartphones are rumored to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with the Z launcher overlay. Take this information with a pinch of salt and wait for the official announcement of the devices.
