Previous reports suggested OnePlus plans to launch a variant of its current flagship OnePlus 3. The new device is rumored to be powered with Snapdragon 821 and rest specifications will remain same.
Now according to a new report from PhoneRadar, the OnePlus 3's new variant will be called OnePlus 3T and it will run latest OS. The report replicates that the smartphone will come with updated chip instead of 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820. Because of the new chip performance of OnePlus 3T will be improved by 10%.
To remind, Chinese company eliminated its X series and announced that it will focus only on its One flagship device. The company made this move to improve quality and name of its brand. The new variant will be improved version but the changes are not significant. The company may enhance storage or camera optics of the device for better results.
However, the OnePlus 3 is already an impressive smartphone that came with remarkable specifications. It owns beautiful design and supreme features. The report says that the OnePlus 3T will also sport the similar design and metal unibody. The noticeable difference in the new device is it will feature Dash Charge technology and it will run Android 7.0 Nougat with OxygenOS out of the box.
In August, some renders claimed that OnePlus 3 mini will be launched as well, but company’s co-founder Carl Pei has confirmed that those rumors were groundless. There is no information regarding release date and pricing of the smartphone but we expect to hear about it soon.
