Android 7.0 Nougat Updates Start Rolling Out in LG G5 in Canada

LG announced it has started sending out the Nougat update to its G5 smartphone over a month ago. Now the software updates has started rolling out in Canada as well. According to users’ reports, the carrier Bell has started sending out the update to G5 units on its network.

A couple of other major Canadian carriers including Fido, and Rogers will officially sending out the updates on December 21, even though some users are reporting that the update is available already.

Users of OTA network may have to wait till updates hit their LG G5 smartphone, because the carrier may take some time to release updates. However, if you are pretty impatient and can’t wait for company announcement you can check updates in the smartphone’s settings.

For a quick review, the LG G5 resembles to LG V20, the device packs a 5.3 inch IPS LCD display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. The device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box upgradable to 7.0 Nougat. The Dual SIM smartphone is powered by Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820. It has 32 GB internal storage and 4 GB of RAM.

In terms of camera, the LG G5 features a Dual 16 MP camera with 29mm, f/1.8 and an 8 MP camera with 12mm, f/2.4 lens, laser autofocus, OIS (3-axis), and LED flash. An 8 MP camera is also found with f/2.0, 1/4" sensor size, and 1.12 µm pixel sizes.

The smartphone offers Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, hotspot, and Bluetooth v4.2, A2DP, LE, aptX HD connectivity options. The LG G5 supports fingerprint scanner, and has a 2800 mAh battery which keep it up.
