HTC Bolt Leaked in Pictures, Tipped to Remove Headphone Jack

HTC has managed to keep its upcoming HTC Bolt smartphone secret so far. We didn’t hear any rumor about the device except today’s leak. The device is leaked with pictures; the render shows design of the HTC bolt.

A reliable leakster @EvenBlass shared live pictures of the HTC Bolt the smartphone has no 3.5mm jack. The smartphone has all metal body with chamfered edges and antenna lines inspired from HTC 10. The front side of the device is also resembles to HTC’s current flagship. The HTC Bolt features a fingerprint scanner too, the device appears to carry features and uniqueness of the HTC 10.


The smartphone will feature a 5.5 inch Full-HD screen and it will run Android 7.0 Nougat out the box. The device will have 64GB internal storage and 3GB of RAM.  In terms of camera, there is an 18 MP primary camera with f/2.0 lens that records 4K video. It has 8 MP selfie camera too, which captures quality pictures.


On the right side of the device, there is a power button and volume controls whilst two trays, one for SIM and the other for a MicroSD card. The HTC Bolt supports USB Type-C and it has a single firing speaker at the bottom. The main difference between HTC Bolt and HTC 10 is placement of flash module. The flash module is placed above on the antenna line of HTC 10.


The HTC Bolt is the first smartphone in an HTC line-up that has no 3.5mm jack. However, it’s not only one smartphone that eliminated the headphone jack many other devices from different mobile companies also has launched their smartphones without 3.5mm jack. For instance, Motorola Moto Z, Moto Z Force, LeEco Le 2, Le 2 Pro, Le Max 2, Apple iPhone 7, and iPhone 7 Plus come without headphone jack. Another significant feature of the HTC Bolt is BoomSound audio enhancing technology, but only when listening with headphones.
