Users are already aware of the two famous name of smartphone manufacturer Samsung and HTC and we all knows that they both come up every year in world’s biggest event MWC with their biggest flagship which sets the year milestone for both of them. This year HTC launched HTC ONE M9 and the competitor Samsung introduce Galaxy S6 and the curved screen version of the handset called Galaxy S6 Edge. There is no doubt that these are the well balanced Android Phones and users love to use them but still there is a much difference found between both of them and here we are going to discuss everything minutely and try to give the best comparative review to the users. Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have only one difference and that is the edge screen rest of the specs are same.
Design and Built
Samsung is well known and they are too conscious about their smartphones and always used premium material for designing their smartphone body and on the other hand the Taiwanese manufacturer is also smart and well aware of the latest trend and also wants to win the race so they both introduced their smartphones with the full metal body for increasing the endurance of the mobiles. By dimensions and weight both have slightly different HTC One M9 is slightly bigger than Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. According to the dimensions the One M9 measures 144.6 x 69.7 x 9.6 mm and has 157 grams weight and the Galaxy S6 is measured as 143.4 x 70.5 x 6.8 mm by dimension and has 138 grams of weight as we already told there is no difference found between the regular and Edge version of the handset.
The second main tough completion presences in display of the mobile which is the most important component of any smartphone development and without the screen the handset is like the person without eyes. Samsung is quite famous to use AMOLED display and they continue the trend and used Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen in Galaxy devices the screen measures 5.1 inches and has 1440x 2560 pixels resolution and this is the upper edge of Galaxy over the HTC because the One M9 has 5 inches screen and the type of the screen is Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen and delivers 1080x 1920 pixels resolution. Both the smartphones screen is protected with Gorilla Glass 4 which increases the life cycle of the mobile display. But the Galaxy S6 screen gives more bright and vivid result to the users because of its high pixels resolution.
Both are the typical Android Mobile and come with the latest version of operating system called Android 5.0 Lollipop. The operating system is very convenient for everyone and there is no flaw still found in the operating system. The user interface of both the mobiles are changed Samsung used their own design TouchWiz and the HTC runs their own Sense 7 user interfaces. By the working ability both the interface is same but they both have a difference of some features placement like apps drawer and other.
Processors and Memory
Now we are going to talk about an essential part of any smartphone yes your guess is right we are talking about the processor and memory of the smartphones which gives the challenge to the others. Galaxy S6 has the power of Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 processor paired with Samsung’s home made chipset Exynos 7420 and has Mali-T760 GPU for performing the graphical tasks and on the other hand HTC placed Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and has Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 and Adreno 430 GPU. The speed and working performance of the processors, chipsets and GPU’s are same as they are.
Both the mobiles come with 3GB massive RAM but there is a difference present between the ROM options and increment of ROM externally. The HTC One M9 only come with 32GB ROM option which can be extendable up t0 128 GB externally via microSD card, but Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge appear with three types of ROM option 32.64 and 128 GB and all these are built in and the smartphone don’t have the card slot for increasing the ROM externally. So here HTC goes up in comparison with Galaxy S6.
Camera the most desirable feature of the users and they want to use the mobile with the good camera features and for fulfilling the purpose the manufacturers placed a powerful camera inside the handsets. Samsung placed 16 megapixel rear camera with 2988 x 5312 pixels resolution and has optical image stabilization, autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, Auto HDR and panorama and has 5 MP front-Facing camera with 1080p@30fps, dual video call, Auto HDR for capturing the perfect selfies and comparatively HTC used 20.7 MP, 5376 x 3752 pixels, autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash with 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps, 720p@120fps, HDR, stereo sound rec features and the front-facing camera is based on 4 MP front-facing camera with 1080p@30fps, HDR. Once again, HTC is on top of Samsung because of its well enough and giant rear camera.
The security is the top most issue for the users now Samsung is very sharp and they completely facilitate the users in every aspect. The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge has Fingerprint sensor (PayPal certified). Samsung Pay (Visa, MasterCard certified) but there is no such thing found in HTC ONE M9 so in the security mean Samsung totally beat the HTC.
Both the handset has the powerful power source but HTC has some more. Galaxy S6 is energized by Non-removable Li-Ion 2550 mAh battery and the HTC ONE M9 is featured with Non-removable Li-Po 2840 mAh battery. The Galaxy S6 offers the rapid and wireless charging which is possible only with the help of specially designed charging pad and in the competition HTC provide fast charging option which charge 60% of the battery in just 30 minutes but both have the same drawback they both are featured with non-removable battery.
Both the smartphones belong to the Android family and there is no difference found between the operating system but there is something more in HTC ONE M9 and in the some aspects Samsung Galaxy S6 is the best. Well, users have the open option to select the best one between both of them and satisfied them self against their respectable money.
