Google Sent Android 7.1.1 Updates to Pixel and Pixel XL for LTE Connectivity

Google has started sending out final Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for compatible Nexus and Pixel smartphones last week. The latest update contains monthly security update for December. Now for Pixel and Pixel XL Google has posted a new build of Android 7.1.1 Nougat to the developer site for Pixel and Pixel XL smartphone.


 

The updates include security monthly Google’s security patch for enhancing security in smartphones. Now after this update, the company aims to fix previously reported connectivity issues on Pixel devices. In November, several Pixel smartphone users were complaining about the connectivity of the devices especially related to LTE band 4 frequency.


The update brought general connectivity options, after the Android 7.1.1 update many consumers reported that the issue was fixed. However, a number of users seem to face the issue so a new update named NMF26Q release 6 looks to do just that.


The firm has not officially announced the new update’s release, it is also not confirmed when the update will rolled out to Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL. Though, the Google has previously published OTA and Factory Images on its Android Developers website for those consumers who want the fix install straight away. If your Google Pixel or Google Pixel XL is running smoothly and not facing any kind of issue then we would recommend you to wait for an OTA update.


The company has also sent camera improvement updates to Nexus 5, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Nexus 6P, and Nexus 9 smartphones.
