Samsung has announced the Galaxy S4 Zoom, the most powerful smart phone camera hybrid on the market. And you will see a device very similar to a Galaxy S4 Mini. It has a 4.3-inch HD display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of storage memory that is expandable via micro SD cards, and a 1.9-megapixel camera.
Applications
On the back, it is a full-fledged camera, with a 16-megapixel sensor and 10x optical zoom, which is far better than on any other smart phone or smart phone camera hybrid. It also sports an optical image stabilizer (OIS), and Samsung's Smart Mode, which automatically chooses the best settings for your photos. LTE is also on board, as is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC.
Big gauntlet to Nokia
At 125.5 x 63.5 x 15.4 mm, it is bulkier than most high-end smart phones, but the Galaxy S4 Zoom truly sounds like it might fulfill the promise of bringing the "best of both worlds," as Samsung CEO and head of mobile JK Shin puts it. The Galaxy S4 Zoom also throws quite a big gauntlet to Nokia, whose Pure View technology has so far been the best camera tech in a smart phone, though never in a truly high-end one. Pricing for the model has not yet been announced.
New addition to smart phone
Samsung has just announced another new addition to its smart phone line-up, the Galaxy S4 zoom, a modified version of its flagship and best selling Galaxy S4 that include a 10x optical zoom, 13-megapixel CMOS censor and Xenon flash.
Passion for photography
The device is aimed squarely at those with a passion for photography, and it includes a 16-megapixel camera, that is a significant increase on the Galaxy S4′s 13-megapixel shooter. That puts the device on par with the original incarnation of the Galaxy Camera, which also had a 16-megapixel snapper. The zoom includes a 1.9 megapixel camera on the front.

The Korean phone-maker said in a statement, “The GALAXY S4 zoom is the realization of Samsung’s mission to create a single device that can fulfill the role of both an industry leading smart phone and a high-end compact camera”. Getting down to technical details, the S4 zoom is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and has super AMOLED screen with a 960×540 resolution. Like the regular S4, it runs on Jelly Bean Android 4.2.
Water proof
It is water proof handset and it’s not the first attempt by a manufacturer to make their handset completely waterproof.
Memory status
The device comes with 8GB of internal memory which Samsung sticking to its new policy of openness says gives around 5GB of usable memory. Given the spanking new camera and the quality of images it is capable of snapping, it therefore follows that owners of the phone will be taking advantage of the micro-SD slot, which takes cards of up to 64GB.
Appling for fans
