Chinese mobile manufacturer Xiaomi has launched several smartphones this year, but the company announced only one flagship this year at MWC 2016. Now it appears that two more devices are coming from Xiaomi this year.
The company anticipates launching the Xiaomi Mi 5s and Xiaomi Mi Note 2 smartphones in the coming months. The Xiaomi Mi 5s is expected to launch on September 27 in Xiaomi’s press conference. While, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 could be released later any time.
According to rumors and leaks the company could launch a smaller version of the Xiaomi Mi 5s. The device is rumored to come in two variants; one will pack a 4 inch display while the other one will have a 5.5 inch variant. The 4-inch device has also leaked in pictures, the above image shows how the device could look like.
Rumors also suggest that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will support NFC and support Xiaomi’s Mi Pay payment system. If you see the above image, the home button of the smartphone is quite larger than the Xiaomi Mi 5 and the 4 inch variant will be made with glass and metal.
If rumors come true, there are chances that specifications of 4-inch Mi 5s will resemble to standard variant Mi 5s except battery and screen size. Other specifications include Snapdragon 821 chipset, 256 native storage, and 6GB of RAM. The device is expected to feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. There will be a 16MP rear camera on the backside of the device. The standard Mi 5s will be powered by 3,490 mAh battery while the smaller version will have smaller battery.
