Yu Yunicorn Launched with 4GB RAM and a 4000 mAh Battery

Yu Televentures is subsidiary of Micromax, it released its new smartphone Yunicorn today. The Yunicorn is a mid-range smartphone that contends with Redmi Note 3, the smartphone resembles to Redmi Note 3 as well.

The Yu Yunicorn packs a 5.5-inch full-HD display with 1080x1920 pixel resolution. It is powered by an octa-core (4 cores at 1.8GHz, and 4 cores at 1.4GHz) MediaTek Helio P10 SoC and coupled with 4GB of RAM. The Yunicorn houses a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter camera. It has 32GB of native storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB with the hybrid dual-SIM microSD card slot.

A 4000mAh battery keeps the device wake up and the firm claims that the battery will delivers 500 hours of standby time and 20 hours of talk time. It supports fast charging with standard and 4G LTE support connectivity options. The mobile runs Android 5.0 lollipop out of the box and the company promised to upgrade it in current Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The device comes in Graphite, Rush Silver, and Rush Gold color options; however the smartphone will be available in limited units.

The smartphone is enclosed in a metal body and it is priced at INR 12,999 (roughly USD $193) and after a month it will be available for INR 14,999 (approximately USD $223). Initially the device will be available through Flipkart for a month, and the registration will start on 7 June.
