OnePlus 3T Launched with 16MP Selfie Camera and 3400 mAh Battery

OnePlus launched OnePlus 3T on Tuesday; it is an upgraded version of the OnePlus 3 device. The difference between standard variant and latest version is, the latest one comes with improved selfie snapper, increased native storage, and a bigger battery.


The Oneplus 3T will be available in Europe from November 26 and in the US from November 22. No details are found regarding the device’s availability in other countries but we hope to hear about it soon. The new smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box while its predecessor runs Android 7.0 Marshmallow. The new software update for both OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will be rolled out at the end of this year.


The OnePlus 3T will be available in Gunmetal and Soft Gold color variants. The main difference between both devices is the latest phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC (two cores clocked at 1.6GHz and two cores clocked at 2.35GHz) while the base variant comes with Snapdragon 820 SoC. The phone is available in 64GB and 128GB storage and the original model is only available in 64GB storage.


The company has doubled the resolution of the front camera of OnePlus 3T, it jumped from 8MP to 16MP selfie snapper. It also switched sensor from the Sony IMX179 with 1.4-micron pixels to the Samsung 3P8SP with 1-micron pixels.


The OnePlus has larger battery as compared to its precursor, it has 3400 mAh battery whilst the OnePlus 3 has a 3000 mAh battery. The new smartphone supports Dash Charge-5V 4A a fast charging technology as well.


Rest specifications are same such as both devices support 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) Optic AMOLED display, aluminium metal unibody design, and same fingerprint sensor.  Both devies measures 152.7x74.7x7.35mm, and weight same at 158 grams.
