Report: Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Explodes while Charging

Samsung has already discontinued its Galaxy Note 7 due to battery explosion cases. But it seems that 2016 is bad luck for Samsung because according to a user report his Galaxy S7 exploded while on charging.  The user was charging his phones with the original Samsung charger while sleeping, when his smartphone caught fire automatically.

As per Phonearena report, the user exchanged his Galaxy Note 7 second time and finally settled Galaxy S7 Edge. The images shared by the publisher website show that the S7 Edge is beyond repair.  The information came from an anonymous source working at the carrier company, where this complaint was stuck.

It is not the first news about the Galaxy S7 explosion, last month Galaxy S7 Edge exploded inside the pocket of an Ohio resident Daniel Ramirez giving him subsequent and third level burns. Ramirez has even filed a lawsuit against the manufacturer, after he had to experience a complex skin graft operation, and is now beneath wide corporal therapy.

This month Korean Giant sent pop-up messages to users reassure them that their Galaxy S7 units were safe and there was no recall for the S series. On the other hand, after this incident, we hope Samsung will investigate the matter seriously. Another report claims that, 527 South Korean consumers plans to lawsuit against Samsung for damages they bear due to Galaxy Note 7.

All these downfalls and especially Galaxy Note 7 disaster won’t stop Samsung from adding flagships into its lineup. By announcing the new exchange plan, Samsung has confirmed to launch Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 in 2017. Samsung confirmed in a statement that Galaxy Note 7 users would be able to exchange their Galaxy S7/Galaxy S7 Edge devices with Galaxy Note 8/Galaxy S8. The company plans to unveil its flagship in the first quarter of the next year.
