South Korea Initiates its own Investigation Committee for Galaxy Note 7 Fire Incidents

According to reports from South Korea, the local government has released its own investigation committee into the matter. Whereas, U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is by now inspecting fire events of Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

The state run Korea Testing Laboratory is investigating the concern; it has already received 5 faulty Galaxy Note 7 devices from Samsung. The company will not investigate only batteries, the latest testing will be used, the process will contain X-ray and computerized tomography to get to know roots causes of the issue.

An official from Samsung said that, the company has handed over the effected smartphones to Korea Testing Laboratories and the firm will cooperate with KTL in their investigation process because Samsung can’t sit back and wait for the outcome. The spokesperson added that, "We have been mobilizing all possible resources to find the exact cause of the problems as soon as possible”. The reports suggest that, Samsung plans to test faulty units of Galaxy Note 7 collected by US CPSC.

To refresh, the Galaxy Note 7 features 5.7 inch Super AMOLED with 1440 x 2560 pixels of resolution. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and powered by Exynos 8890 Octa. The smartphone has 64 GB internal storage with 4 GB of RAM. The device houses a 12 MP primary camera with 5MP selfie snapper. The Galaxy Note 7 features an iris scanner, fingerprint, and a 3500 mAh battery. It comes in Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium, Blue Coral, and Black Onyx colors.
