Recently the rumors arise that Microsoft is currently working on two new Lumia smartphones and they has a plan to launch the handset this year the new handsets called Microsoft Lumia 940 and Microsoft Lumia 940 XL.
After the confirmation of name, some more information leaked and gives the hint what actually the smartphones carries. They both are the windows phone and will run Windows 10 operating system. According to the rumor mill, the Lumia 940 is the modest version of Lumia 930. Lumia 940 and 940 XL have same specs but the difference only present in the size of the handsets. Microsoft Lumia 940 will come with 5.2 inches display and the Lumia XL will support 5.7 inches screen. It is also speculated that the camera of both the handset will be upgraded and they both might be featured with 24 or 25 megapixel rear camera and the front facing camera consists on5 megapixels or might be bit higher in resolution.
The window 10 is compatible with Hexacore and octa core so it is also expected that the smartphones will be equipped with the powerful hardware. It is also predicted that the handsets have some new features like 3D interaction, Iris scanner, and native Pen support. Apparently Microsoft is fast-tracking the Windows 10 phones and is trying to get it into the market as early as the end of Q2 2015.
There is no information available for the price and a release date of the handset but hopefully we will have this information with us soon maybe in the couple of months the handset hit the markets. Well till then stay tuned.
