Meizu m1 introduce officially will be available for pre orders in China soon

As it was planned for today Meizu has announced Meizu m1 officially and added to its smartphones line. In fact Meizu has prepared this handset to compete Xiaomi Redmi 2. Although Xiaomi has updated the hardware in Redmi 2 and installed 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory but Meizu has fixed an economical price of $110 for equally good configuration.

Meizu m1 has a 5 inches display having 1280x768 pixels resolution, 300ppi density, larger than Redmi2. This smartphone uses 64 bit media tek MT 6732 system on chip featured with quad core cortex A53 processor with the speed of 1.5GHz where as Redmi 2 is equipped with 1.2GHz cortex A53 chipset.

Although these two handsets were compared one to one and even the bench mark scores were examined. Meizu said its m1 would be carrying 1 GB RAM which is just the half of Xiaomi Redmi 2 after hardware update. However maybe Meizu also has a plan to update the RAM in m1 to 2 GB.

Meizu m1 has presently only 8 GB on board memory but has 128GB extension in internal memory through microSD card which Redmi2 does not have. Although having 128 GB external memory can not be considered a plus point over 16GB inbuilt on board memory. Meizu m1 is a low price handset but carries a powerful camera of 13MP which is far better than 8MP camera in Xiaomi Redmi 2 whereas m1 has a 5MP front camera as well. The handset is featured with 2610mAh battery.

Meizu m1 would be available for pre order on 5th Feb 2015 in China for $110. This low price is certainly a plus point in favor of m1 and will give it an advantage over Redmi 2. However just a point to note is Redmi 2 is a dual sim device and Meizu m1 is a single sim handset.
