MWC is the biggest platform for the technology innovators as well as the users. By using this platform the manufacturers promote their master pieces of technology and users have a chance to get the information about the latest technology. Every year the event takes place at Barcelona in the initial dates of March. This year the event also is held at the same venue and many giants present their master pieces of technology. BlackBerry
Today BlackBerry appeared in MWC and they launched their mid range smartphone known as BlackBerry Leap. However the handset not be in the market until April and compnay sets $275 price tag for this mobile.The new BlackBerry Leap measures 144x72.8x9.5mm and carries 170 grams of weight and offers 5 inches HD display with 294ppi density and runs BlackBerry 10.3.1 operating system. The handset has 1.5GHz dual core Krait processor which is paired with Snapdragon S4 Plus chipset and has 2 GB RAM and 16GB ROM which can be further extended up to 128 GB via microSD card. The handset has 8 megapixel rear camera and energized by 2800mAh battery which gives the 1 day backup to the handset even after heavy use.
Samsung
Samsung is the first to announce their biggest handset of the year Galaxy S6. The company has official event on 1st March to introduce the handset. The Galaxy S6 has two versions regular and Edge. The Edge Version is known as Galaxy S6 Edge. The handsets will be available in 10th April 2015 with the price of $649 / $749 off-contract ($199 / $299 w/ 2-year contract). Both versions of the handset are very powerful devices and powered with a 64-bit octa-core chip running Android 5.0 Lollipop with an improved and simplified TouchWiz user interface, a 16-megapixel camera with OIS and a larger camera sensor, 32GB of ROM.
HTC
HTC is the 2nd there in the event to launch the handset of the year by the company known as HTC ONE M9. The handset has premium all-metal unibody, the beautiful HTC One M9 follows the tradition of the company but this is the first time users get high resolution rear camera on an HTC finest - a 20 MP shooter - while the UltraPixel camera is moved at the front for perfect selfies. The handset has Snapdragon 810 chipset, 3GB of DDR4 RAM, and 32GB ROM and runs Android 5.0 operating system. The HTC has a plan to release the handset for the common users in mid of March with the approximate price of $649 off-contract ($199 w/ 2-year contract).
Lenovo
The company announced many devices in the event but the most powerful device is Lenovo Vibe Shot. The Lenovo Vibe Shot is a stylish and affordable device and this is the company’s first camera-centric Android phone. A 16MP BSI sensor with optical image stabilization, tri-color LED flash, and six-element lens with sapphire make this device a camera-oriented handset. The Lenovo Vibe Shot has premium 7.3mm thin chassis that is built of aluminum, with Gorilla Glass 3 front and rear surface. The Vibe Shot has a 5 inches display with 1080 pixels resolution, a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chipset, 3GB of RAM and32 GB of ROM. The handset will be available in June with the price of $349 off-contract.
In the same event the company also launched Lenovo A7000 affordable phablet. The Lenovo A7000 has 5.5 inches HD display with wide viewing angles and has 1.5 GHz MediaTek "true" octa-core processor paired with 2 GB of RAM, and 8 GB inbuilt memory with the extension of memory card for expending the memory and has the capability of 4G LTE. The device will be available in couple of days with the price of $170 off-contract.
Microsoft
A well known computing device and software giant is here. In the event they launched Microsoft Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL. Microsoft Lumia 640 has 5 inches HD display comes in a range of vivid colors and runs on Windows Phone 8.1 (it's set to get upgraded to Windows 10 in the not too distant future). The Lumia 640 XL is nearly identical, but come with a larger, 5.7-inch HD display and a sufficient battery. Both the versions will be available soon with the price of $170 - $250 off-contract.
Sony
Sony another giant released their two major devices. One is the water proof smartphone and the 2nd is the tablet version of Xperia Z4 which is called Xperia Z4 Tablet.
The Xperia Z4 has 10.1 inches large display which supports the 2K resolution. The exact resolution of the display is 2560×1600 pixels. The Xperia Z4 tablet belongs from Android family and runs Android Lollipop 5.0 operating system with Sony’s own tablet-optimized Xperia launcher. The device is featured with 64 bit 2 GHz Octa Core processor paired with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset and Adreno 430 GPU. It has the power of 3GB RAM and 32GB Rom which can be further extended up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device measures 167 x 254 x 6.1 mm and has 389 grams of weight. The Xperia Z4 tablet will be available in June. The Wi-FI version of the device will be available against $559 and the LTE model will carry $759 price tag.
Sony Xperia M4 Aqua is an IP68-certified Android phone with protection from the elements. It features has 1.7GHz, 64-bit octa-core processor, a 13-megapixel main camera, 5 megapixels front shooter and supports 4G LTE connectivity. The handset will be available in the late March with the price of $330 off-contract.
These are the major smartphones was revealed in MWC beside these handsets some other small manufacturers like Alcatel, ZTE and Gionee also present their smartphone in the event.
