Apple allegedly developing its own Snapchat Inspired App

Apple plans to enter social networking, the company is developing a video sharing and editing app for its iPad and iPhone. The app will be similar to the Snapchat, it will allow users to share pictures and videos with other users.  The app and its related features are already in the testing phase.

After success of Snapchat and Facebook, Apple craves to incorporate social networking within its smartphone and iPad. , Apple's CEO, Tim Cook is aims to target services as a method to produce more income because Apple’s hardware business is slowing down.


History is witnessed that Apple is not good when it comes to Social media services, its previous app Ping failed, but it can’t stop Apple to create another social app for youngsters. After seeing success of Snapchat Apple is developing its own video-sharing app that permits users to record videos by applying filters and shares their formation with their followers.


The app would put Apple in Social space against Facebook and Snapchat, the company expects to generate high revenue from the app by attracting adult users. The Snapchat is a very popular app it has 150 million active users that spend average 30 minutes daily on the app.


The Apple app would allow users to shoot videos in an Instagram-like square shape. Apple hops that the forthcoming app, which is being made by iMovie teams and the Final Cut Pro will plea to the young generation obsessed with Snapchat and Instagram. To head the project, Apple employed a previous president of a New York-based video creation company. The reports suggest that the app is in its beginning development stages and it will be launched in 2017.
