BlackBerry has a press event in MWC and few minutes back the company announced their handset called BlackBerry Leap.
The BlackBerry Leap is the new member of BlackBerry family which stand in the position of mid range handset. If we see the handset the design features of the mobile is similar with BlackBerry Z but the hardware configuration is changed. The new BlackBerry Leap measures 144x72.8x9.5mm and carries 170 grams of weight and offers 5 inches HD display with 294ppi density and runs BlackBerry 10.3.1 operating system. The handset has 1.5GHz dual core Krait processor which is paired with Snapdragon S4 Plus chipset which was bit older and why BlackBerry use this chipset the reason only known by the company.
The BlackBerry Leap has 2 GB RAM and 16GB ROM which can be further extended up to 128 GB via microSD card. The handset has 8 megapixel rear camera and energized by 2800mAh battery which gives the 1 day backup to the handset even after heavy use.
There is no exact information available that where the handset available first but the handset hit the shelves somewhere in April with the price of $275.
