Ford Motors and Google in talk to Build Self-Driving Cars
It is said that Ford Motors is in talks with Google Inc to help in building an internet search for company’s independent cars. News is cited by a person who has project knowledge. If the contract manufacturing deal is finalized, it will come in the annual International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas throughout the first week of January, reported by Automotive News.
A Google person beam to Automotive News that the company the company would not comment on the assumption, while Google officials inveterate that the company is talking to Ford motors. Google has started discussion with the world’s top auto manufacturer earlier this year. They are planning to assemble a team of nontraditional and traditional suppliers to accelerate the effort to bring self driving cars to the market by 2020.
Google started testing small bubble shaped self driving prototype vehicles in June, of its own design on public roads around Mountain View. The company also started testing prototypes in Austin. Google is planning to make its own self driving car unit, which will proffer rides for hire, an independent business under Alphabet Inc. Alphabet Inc is the parent company of Google.
Ford, though sheathing behind its most of competitors, ramped up its velocity to develop self-driving cars earlier this year.It is also said that company will expand advanced safety technology such as automatic brake. Which enables hands-free operation of cars under assured circumstances by automating such fundamental functions as steering, braking and throttle.
