iPhone 6 Plus is the first introduced with Optical Image Stabilization
Before the iPhone6 was announced or shown in the event, lot many estimates described the instrument. Some writers added features from their own guess. Now it is open and out. The camera in the iPhone was the focus of guesswork. Now it turned out to be the first Apple iPhone with Optical Image Stabilization and the back camera of the smaller iPhone 6 is featured with digital image stabilization.
Apple’s OIS works perfectly in harmony with iPhone’s gyroscope, the A8 chipset, and the M8 motion coprocessor to compensate for the shaking hand motion by actually moving the camera lens while shooting a picture. Resultantly the photos are crisp and blur-free in all conditions of light.
The Optical image stabilization reveals that the rear camera of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are the same. The both handsets have 8 mega pixel iSight units with f/2.2 aperture, dual flash light with True Tone and have the ability of 1080 pixels video recording with cinematic stabilization. Apple did not reveal the reason why they placed OIS system on Apple iPhone 6 Plus and have not placed inside the iPhone 6. May be the one cause of this step is the difference between the dimensions. The 5.5 inches iPhone 6 has 7.1 mm slim bezels and the other 4.7 inches has 6.9mm thin body.
