Motorola added six devices to the list of scheduled phones to receive KitKat

Other Motorola models getting Android 4.4 now include the Motorola DROID RAZR HD Developer Edition, the Motorola DROID Ultra, Motorola DROID MAXX and Motorola DROID Mini, and all versions of the Motorola Moto X. The Motorola Moto G will launch in the U.S.with Android 4.4 installed out of the box.

No word on when all of these updates will get rolled out. Right now, the Verizon branded Moto X is in the midst of a soak test that will soon bring Android 4.4 to the phone. Perhaps the biggest surprise is that the Motorola ATRIX HD will be jumping from Android 4.1 to 4.4. Additionally, the U.S.Cellular branded Motorola ELECTRIFY M will also be making the same jump.

On the verge of an update for the Verizon branded Motorola Moto X that will take the device to Android 4.4, the wholly owned Google subsidiary has updated its software support page and has added six devices to the list of those scheduled to receive KitKat. Let's start with the Motorola DROID RAZR M. Both the branded and Developer edition, along with the Motorola DROID RAZR HD and Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX HD, will be updated to Android 4.4.
