OnePlus refreshed its OnePlus 3 smartphone with a new variant OnePlus 3T. The OnePlus 3T is an upgraded version of the base variant OnePlus 3, which was launched about 5 months ago. The company said at an event that the upgraded version will be available for purchase in the US on November 22. European market will get the device on November 26 and it will hit UK market on November 28. Even though, there is no information regarding device’s availability in Indian market.
Today, the Chinese manufacturer tweeted a picture, which utters "Guess who's coming to town?” the tweet hints that OnePlus 3T will hit the Indian market soon. The shared image shows a text "THE BEST IS ABOUT TO GET BETTER".
The company didn’t say anything on whether Indian market will get Soft Gold color variant or not. However, the Soft Gold color variant is unlikely to come in India right after the launch so fans have to wait for a few weeks. The tweeted image didn’t give any information regarding device’s launch date in the region.
There are a few differences between base model and upgraded version. The major difference is OnePlus 3T’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 CPU (two cores clocked at 1.6GHz and two cores clocked at 2.35GHz). While, the OnePlus 3 is powered by a Snapdragon 820. The older variant comes only in 64GB storage while the latest version is available in both 64GB and 128GB internal memory options.
The third difference is 16MP rear and selfie cameras of the OnePlus 3T, the sensor is replaced with Samsung 3P8SP with 1-micron pixels. The OnePlus 3T gets power via a 3400 mAh battery instead of OnePlus 3’s 3000 mAh battery. The 64GB model is priced for $439 and the 128GB model is priced for $479.
