Oppo R9s Spotted in Red Color

According to a Weibo post, Oppo R9s will be launched in a new color; the glossy red will join the current gold and black colors. The red color will be launched in China first and it will go on sale before the end of the year.


There is no information whether the Oppo R9s red color variant will get any hardware changes or not. In terms of specifications, the Oppo R9s features a 5.5 inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. The device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, it is powered with Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625, clocked at Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53, and coupled with Adreno 506.


The Oppo R9s has 64 GB internal storage 4 GB RAM. It has 16 MP rear cameras with f/1.7, phase detection autofocus, and LED flash. There is a 16 MP selfie camera as well with f/2.0 lens. The smartphone offers Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, hotspot, and Bluetooth v4.0, A2DP connectivity options.


The Oppo R9s features fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass sensors. The device packs a removable 3010 mAh battery. The device is price for CNY 2,799 (about $400) and it’s vague whether the device will be available worldwide or not.

The Oppo R9s is priced at CNY 2,799 in its homeland (about $400), and there's no reason why the red version should be any different. It's also unclear whether the new color will be available globally. As per a report, Oppo plans to sell its smartphones in the US.
