Oppo launched Oppo R8 smartphone last year and now the company seems to launch Oppo R9. Oppo is teasing its fans with few teasers and the company also confirmed the launched date of the device.
Oppo posted a teaser in its Weibo account about Oppo R9 with a statement "This time, it is worth and other '9' point. #OPPO New camera phone R9 #." We expect that camera would be the main feature of the upcoming device. However, no additional details about the device or camera were unveiled. In another teaser Oppo confirmed launch date of the device. The ad confirms that Oppo will unveil Oppo R9 on 17 march in an event.
The smartphone packs a 6-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) resolution display. Oppo R9 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU. It will come with 3GB or 4GB RAM, which is not confirmed yet. The mobile will have a 64GB expandable storage. In the photography section, it is expected that the handset will feature a 21 megapixel camera at the back and a 13 megapixel camera at the front side. Oppo R9 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and it packs a 3,700mAh battery. It is also expected that the device might feature Super VOOC fast charging, which can charge a 2500 mAh battery from 0% to 100% in only 15 minutes.
The smartphone may also feature a SmartSensor image stabilization that Oppo launched during MWC 2016. The Chinese firm avers its SmartSensor permits the world's first sensor-based, pixel-level optical image stabilisation (OIS) and can substantially improve the image sharpness. Fans have to wait for only 2 weeks to see the unveiling of the device.
