You think Samsung would hesitate to release any handset in Galaxy Mega line because there are already too many handsets with same size of screens like 6" size. It has many tricks in its bag and will keep introducing new handsets.
The Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 is expected to be a mid ranger launched in the arena of champions to fight against myriad of 6" phablets from all reputed, known or unknown companies like Lenovo, Huawei, and other Chinese gladiators. It has only slight smaller screen of 5.9 inches as compared to 6.3-inch original Mega but has the same 720x1280 pixels HD resolution and has the powerful processor as the Mega 2; Qualcomm's first 64-bit chipset, the Snapdragon 410 a quad-core with 1.2 GHz speed and Adreno 306 Graphics Processing Unit with all the potentials of upgrading to Android L, because both, a 64-bit mobile OS, and a 64-bit chipset can both receive this update and upgrade. Mega 2 will be preinstalled with Android 4.4.3 KitKat with some mixture of TouchWiz wonders.
Other specs are no less decent, 2 GB RAM, and 8 GB memory out of which 5.1 GB will be available to user. A powerful main camera of 12 MP at the rear of the Mega 2 and the handset is not without the front-facing camera, which is 4.7 MP to grab the Asian market, where 5 MP and 8 MP cameras are presently dominating. The front-facing secondary camera of Mega 2 can record the video at 1080p.
