Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Caught Fire on an IndiGo aircraft in India

After Note 7 fire incident, another Samsung phablet caught fire inside an IndiGo aircraft coming from Singapore at the Chennai airport on Friday. Luckily, the flight was safely landed without any damage.

 

The incident concerns to Samsung Galaxy Note 2 smartphone, in mid-flight the passengers saw smoke impending from a glide luggage section and told the cabin crew. The Galaxy Note 2 was bare, emitting flicker and burn. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) ordered all flights to ban the use of Galaxy Note series devices inside the jet.

The carrier said, while counting that security was of the greatest precedence and at no time it can be cooperation."This equipment (Samsung mobile) will be additional examined by the worried department. IndiGo has voluntarily informed the DGCA."

Lately reputation of Samsung has suffered due to Galaxy Note 7 damages report as well, it’s bad luck for the manufacturer.  Samsung issued a global recall for Note 7 and collected all devices and banned used of Note 7 in flights, campus areas and in buses.

In terms of Specifications, the Note 7 features 5.7 inches super AMOLED with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolutions. It is powered by Exynos 8890 Octa and runs Android Marshmallow out of the box. Under the hood, there is 4GB RAM and 64GB native storage. You will find a 12MP rear camera on the backside and a 5MP lens on the front side of the device. The device supports iris scanner and a 3500 mAh battery keeps the device up.
