Previously AT&T, one of the major USA carriers announced the Galaxy S5 Active and users who want to buy this handset only have the choice to go with AT&T. Now other major UAS carrier, Sprint, also offers Galaxy S5. It seems that the Galaxy S5 Sprint version also has the three buttons like S5 Active with IP67 certificate which means the handset is water and dust proof. But Sprint does not give any free offer to the users like AT&T gives previously.
The Galaxy S5 Sprint version runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. The handset has a 5.1 inches Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolutions. The handset is embedded with 2.5 GHz processor with Snapdragon 801 system on chip. 2 GB RAM is offered by the company with 16 GB in built memory extendable externally. 16 mega pixel camera is also spotted in the handset. The handset is energized with 2800 mAh battery.
Sprint confirms that the handset will be available in stores from 25th July. Sprint introduced the bundle offer for the limited time. Users will get the discount of 50 USD in Galaxy Gear Fit if they purchase the handset in a bundle offer. There is another option given by the Sprint if users chose the Sprint Easy Pay option the users are able to get the handset without any advance/ down payment and they just need to pay 27.09 USD as monthly charges.
Still Sprint did not confirm any ‘on contract’ price but it is expected the handset will be sold in 199USD with a 24 months contract plan.
