Sony launched Xperia Z2 after the MWC. Now Sony introduced the latest flagship named Xperia Z2a known as Xperia ZL2 in Taiwan. Xperia Z2a is the international name of Xperia ZL2. Handset manufactures confirmed that the handset will be available in Taiwan in 1st week of July.
Company did not reveal the information about the availability in other regions. The Xperia Z2a is similar to the elder bro Xperia ZL2 launched in May via KDDI in Japan. The handset has Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system pre installed from the company.
The smartphone has a 5 inches full HD LCD screen with Mobile Bravia Engine 2 and X- Reality. The handset delivers 440 pixels per inch density. The Xperia Z2a is embedded with 2.3 GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU. 3GB RAM is offered with 16 GB on board memory which can be extendable up to 128 GB via microSD card. The handset also supports the LTE connectivity. Predecessor Xperia Z2 is equipped with the same processor.
The Xperia Z2a is equipped with 20.7 mega pixel rear camera and 3.1 mega pixel front facing camera with Sony’s own designed Exmor RS sensor with Bionz image processing technology. The handset is energized with 3000 mAh battery. The handset is certified with IPX5/IPX8 and IP5X means the handset is water and dust proof.
The Xperia Z2a is a high end device and the handset is first going to hit the Taiwan market. The handset available in 3 colors Turquoise, Black and White.
