ZTE’s Hawkeye with eye-tracking to be released late in September

The US based mobile phone manufacturers announced the new Hawkeye smartphone recently. As part of the company’s Project CSX, which was a crowd sourced initiative taken by the company for new ideas, the device will host an eye-tracking feature which is not really anything out of the ordinary. The kicker is the cost of this device, projected to be sold for only $199, available now for pre-order, ZTE aims to grab a bunch of customers in the market. Since its announcement, We now have a complete data regarding the specifications of this entry level smartphone.

 

 

The Hawkeye will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset clocked at 2.0 GHz paired with 3GB RAM and a 32GB internal storage expandable up to 256GB via microSD card and is interfaced with USB type-C. A 5.5” FHD display will sport Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The device has a dual rear camera setup of 12 MP and 13MP at different focal lengths with optical zoom capability. The front camera will be of 8 MP. A sufficient 3000 mAh battery will power the hardware supporting the Quick Charge 2.0 speed. Noteworthy features include Eye-tracking accurate to 3 lines for easy scrolling, fingerprint sensors, NFC and Hi-Fi.

 

At a glance, The ZTE Hawkeye pretty much blends with many other phones in the current market. We are interested to see what the outcomes are when the device is finally released in September 2017.
