Design And Display
As the name implies it is mini version of the original HTC ONE, therefore has to have some difference from the original. In dimensions HTC One Mini 2 measures 137.4 x 65 x 10.6 mm and weighs137 grams. For its ideal measurements it fits well in hand or pocket. This is an ideally proportionate and beautifully designed with a graceful look. Probably because of plastic make, it weighs relatively less than its display size. Super LCD2 capacitive touch screen of 4.5 inches having 720 x 1280 pixels resolutions.. This seems to be a high resolution and because of this the display gives a perfect look of the images and graphics.
Software & User Interface
HTC One Mini 2 runs Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat) which is a standard operating system for many successful handsets. Similarly in this handset it runs quite well and smooth. Running the same HTC Sense 5 UI preferring over Jelly Bean, users can conveniently go on social networking and will be equally comfortable and shall have the same good experience. The user interface is simple in operating and user friendly. There is no difficulty faced in handling this handset it will measure up to users expectations.
Processor and Memory
HTC One Mini 2 is powered with Quad-core 1.2 GHz Krait 400 processor and is provided with Adreno 330 for graphics processing unit. This is a successful and tested processor for the mobile handsets. The handset is provided with 1GB RAM and 16 GB internal Storage extendable up to 128 GB via microSD as the handset has a provision for external recuperation of storage required. Here in this case, it is quite a sizeable addition. The RAM is quite enough to run different apps and enjoy the heavy video games.
The handset is provided with a Primary camera of 13 MP, 4160 x 3120 pixels resolutions featuring autofocus and LED flash. HTC has not followed the tradition of ultra pixel camera and has chosen to use a merely 13 MP camera but has suffered in results under low light conditions. The HTC One mini 2’s camera gives very average looking results. For a 13-megapixel camera, is more capable of capturing finer details than the HTC One M8. The handset is also equipped with a secondary camera of 5 MP with some good features.
HTC One Mini 2 is energized with a non removable Li-Po 2110 mAh battery. It gives standby time for 556 hours on 2G network and talk time for 16 hours and 10 minutes on 2G. Here the negative point in the handset is non removable battery which the user cannot do it himself.
