It’s good news for some people that smart phone manufacturers are providing more options for exterior colorful bodies of mobiles but it’s not very important to most of us as we just like smart phones with plain black or white colors but there are some other features that matter a lot to most of us including the dimensions and weight of the smart phone. The fact is that even if we want a smart phone with best features and longest battery hours, we still don’t want it to be heavier and most of the time, prefer slimmer and lighter cell phones.
If that’s the case, we can say that Xperia T3 wins the battle here with only 7mm thickness where the LG G3 is 8.9mm thicker which is almost 2mm thicker than the T3. It’s interesting that even when there is a huge difference in the dimensions and thickness of the smart phones, there isn’t much difference in the weight as the T3 weighs only 148 grams where the G3 is only 1 gram heavier than the T3 with 149 grams of weight. If this is the case, we will recommend that you should go with G3 as the weight is almost the same but there is a huge difference in the internal features and hardware.
Display of LG G3 and Xperia T3:
We know that this is a comparison between Xperia T3 and LG G3 but when we take a look at the screens on both smart phones, we can’t say that it’s a competition but we have to declare G3 as the winner with whopping 5.5 inch full HD IPS LCD capacitive touch screen display. Despite the size of the screen, the quality of graphics and videos on the screen is crystal clear and this is done only because of the screen resolution and pixel density which is just the best in the market at this time. The screen resolution of G3 is 1440 X 2560 pixels and 534 pixels per inch density which makes everything much clearer and brightens up each and every little detail on the screen. On top of everything, the screen is protected with corning gorilla glass 3 and it’s almost scratch resistant but just up to a certain limit.
On the other hand, T3 doesn’t look like having as much as half the quality of the screen that we can see on G3. It has 5.3 inches IPS LCD capacitive touch screen display but it’s not as good as LG G3. The pixel density as very low as 720 X 1280P as compared to G3 and the pixel density is just a slap in the face for Xperia with only 227 pixels per inch even if there isn’t much difference in the sizes of the screens on both smart phones. But the good news is that this screen also comes with gorilla glass 3 so it’s resistant to scratches and other small magnitude bumps or damages on the screen.
This is the time when smart phone manufacturers are introducing smart phones with more storage memory and even if iPhone provides 64GB of internal memory in iPhone 5, it won’t be enough for some of the users. Luckily, we have the option to increase the storage capacity of a smart phone with external SD card but the smart phone has to have the SD card slot which apparently, not many of the smart phones have.
But, you don’t have to worry about this as both the smart phones under discussion here have the external SD card slot and LG G3 supports up to 128GB of external memory SD card where the Xperia T3 only supports up to 64GB which is exactly the half of what G3 is offering. On the other hand, G3 provides two options for internal memory with 16GB and 32GB models and if you can pay for more, you should go with the 32GB G3. Xperia T3 is again exactly half the way up to the G3 with only 8GB of internal memory but if you don’t need that much storage space, you should not pay for it and just go with Xperia T3 instead.
Camera of LG G3 and Xperia T3:
Again with the camera, there is not enough to talk about these two phones as it’s already a winning situation for LG G3 with 13 megapixel rear facing primary camera with some of the unique feature i.e. OIS, HDR, panorama, face and smile detection and autofocus as well as touch focus. This camera allows the users to take full HD photos in different modes and when you are done with pictures, you can capture 2160P video at 30fps or 1080P video at 60fps with the primary camera. Additionally the G3 also has a secondary front facing camera which is only 2.1 megapixels but it’s good enough for video calling and Skype chats.
After you have learned about the camera on LG G3, you are not going to find this very tempting as the Xperia T3 only has 8MP rear facing primary camera. This is good as we take a look at the price tag of this smart phone and learn that 8MP is enough for a midrange smart phone but not as good as LG G3. It allows the users to take pretty good pictures and 1080P video at 30fps which isn’t that bad if you compare it with the other smart phones with similar price tags. It also has a secondary front facing camera but it’s only 1.1MP but it’s enough for video calls on 3G networks.
If you like smart phone with speed, the answer is G3 but if you are looking for a midrange smart phone with lesser price, you should go with Xperia T3 as it also provides enough speed for regular operations and multitasking but not as good as LG G3. There is a huge difference in the hardware specifications of these smart phones but the good news is that they both run on android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system but the LG G3 is upgradable to 4.4.3 if users like to do so. LG G3 includes a Quad-Core 2.5GHz Krait 400 processor with snapdragon 801 chipset two models with either 2GB or 3GB of Ram. To handle the graphics on this smart phone, it is equipped with Adreno 330 GPU.
On the other hand, the Xperia T3 includes a Quad-Core 1.4 GHz of processor with snapdragon 400 chipset and only 1GB of Ram but if you compare it to the features and apps that this mobile offer, the hardware is enough to make the processes speedy and quick enough for users. To control the graphics and images on the smart phone, Xperia T3 is equipped with Adreno 305 GPU.
There is not much difference in the batteries of LG G3 and Xperia T3 as the G3 has 3000mAh removable Li-Ion battery where the T3 includes 2500mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery. Both the batteries are quite good for smart phones but G3 has bigger battery so we have to declare it the winner but as the T3 doesn’t have that little battery power either so you should also cut it some slack too. G3 battery provides enough power for the users to talk for more than 21 hours on a 2G network and for more than 19 hours on a 3G network. The battery is enough to provide standby time up to 753 hours and if you want to play music, it can provide power for more than 75 hours continuously.
On the other hand, T3 has a comparatively smaller battery with 2500mAh capacity but it’s enough to run for an entire day with single recharge. This battery provides enough power for the users to talk for more than 14 hours on a 2G network and for more than 12 hours on a 3G network. This power is enough to provide more than 688 hours of standby time for the users and to play music for more than 63 hours.
At the end, the most important thing to discuss is the price of both the smart phones under discussion. Now it’s possible that by looking at the price tags, you may think it’s not right to compare these two phones but you have to understand that even if there is a huge difference between the prices of T2 and G3, they both share some of the same features and these are the features that most people look to find in a smart phone. You can buy LG G3 from Amazon at $649 where the Xperia T3 will only cost you $340.
We have done what was at our disposal and we have provided you with enough details and inside specifications that you can easily decide which smart phone intimidates you the most and what will be your choice when it comes to Xperia T3 or LG G3. If money isn’t the issue, we suggest that you should go with the expensive one in fact don’t think of LG G3 as an expensive smart phone but just an investment into the feature of the technology because it’s already in our hands.
