Honor has sold 1.5 million Honor 8 Units Since this July

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is releasing successful smartphones every now and then. The company launched Honor 8 back in July; the device got five registrations in less than four days. Honor claims that it has sold 1.5 million Honor 8 units since it was released in July.

The sales information is revealed by Zhao Ming, Honor’s Vice President during a press event on Friday. The brand was introduced over two years ago, since then the company has sold 100 million devices. The Honor 8 is up for sale in U.K and U.S.


As for specifications, the Honor 8 features a 5.2 inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolutions. The dual SIM device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.  The Honor 8 is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 950, coupled with CPU Octa-core (4x2.3 GHz Cortex-A72 & 4x1.8 GHz Cortex A53), and clocked at GPU Mali-T880 MP4. The smartphone has 32/64 GB native storage with 4 GB of RAM. It features a fingerprint scanner on its backside.


In terms of camera, there is a 12MP main shooter and 8MP selfie snapper on the backside. The smartphone has a 3000 mAh non-removable battery and it supports fast charging. The Honor 8 comes in Pearl White, Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, and Gold color options. The Honor 8 is available for purchase through Honor’s website for $399.
