Huawei is facing a challenging environment in bringing flagship smartphones to the market, but that does not mean the company has stopped dreaming. In terms of design, Huawei appears to have abandoned the outward-folding screen of the Huawei Mate X and Xs, and goes for an inward-folding design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2. That will bring the benefits of protecting the folding screen but will add the need for an external screen. The external display is appeared to have a punch-hole cutout for a selfie camera. The device will also come with five rear cameras housed in a rectangular setup. The topmost sensor features a rectangular shape which likely indicates a periscope module. As far as the specifications of this foldable phone are concerned, it is expected to come with an 8.03-inch main display and a 4.5-inch external panel. The Huawei Mate X2 is said to have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication. The device is also expected to have a Kirin 1000 Chipset that could support the dual-mode 5G network (SA/NSA).
