Vivo iQOO 7 with SDM 888 SoC and 48MP triple camera setup announced

As scheduled, Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO has unveiled the iQOO 7 flagship smartphone in China. It has arrived as the successor to the Snapdragon 865 powered iQOO 5 series that went official in August 2020. After the iQOO 5 Pro, it is the second smartphone from the brand to come with 120W fast charging support. The phone comes in three color options: Blackland, Latent Blue, and Legendary edition. The latter features a leather rear with red, black, and blue stripes and is designed in partnership with BMW.

Vivo iQOO 7 comes with an aluminum frame and AG Glass back panel. The handset offers a 6.62-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 300Hz touch response rate. The display also has a 2400 x 1080-pixel resolution, 91.4% screen-to-body ratio, 105% NTSC color gamut, and HDR10+. The iQOO 7 is powered by the 5nm Snapdragon 888 chipset, coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It runs on Android 11 OS customized with OriginOS layer. The iQOO 7 is equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock for security. The iQOO 7 has a triple-camera setup that includes a 48MP primary camera and two 13MP sensors. The camera setup supports OIS, up to 20x digital zoom, and 4K video recording. The front camera of the phone gets a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calling. The device draws power from a 4,500mAh dual-cell battery and supports 120W ultra-fast charging tech. The company claims that the phone can fully charge in around 15 minutes.
