What we can expect from the Xiaomi Poco F2 the upcoming smartphone of the Xiaomi’s third sub-brand Pocophone. Xiaomi Poco F1 has been the cheapest flagship device with the high-end Snapdragon 845 chipset. Now, it’s time to talk about what we would see in the successor Pocophone F2 and how much it will cost.
Launch Date and Price
A report from Weibo claimed that Xiaomi is working on two new Pocophone smartphones, Pocophone F2 and Pocophone F2 aka. The Poco F2 would be a standard device while the Poco F2 aka would be its armored edition with Kevlar design and with same specifications.
The Pocophone F1 and its Kevlar editions were launched in August 2018. We are expecting that the Xiaomi in future would launch its Pocophone devices after every six months. So, the Xiaomi Pocophone F2 and Pocophone F2 aka would be launched in earlier months of 2019.
Some rumors suggest that Xiaomi Poco F2 would be released sometime in 4th quarter of 2018, but there is no word on confirmation.
Coming toward the Price, the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 was priced at $300 so now it is hoped that the Pocophone F2 will be not expensive. It is estimated to cost fifty dollars more than the predecessor. The Price of Xiaomi Poco F2 would be $350 while the Poco F2 aka probably would be available for $420, a bit more or a bit less.
Specs and Features
Xiaomi Pocophone F2 would not be improved much over the Pocophone F1. It will have optimized OS, improved interface, higher-end chipset and upgraded camera technology while the rest of the features would be similar.
The Xiaomi Poco F2 will boast a 6.2-inch screen, IPS LCD Display, FHD+ resolution, 18.7:9 aspects ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on front. It would be a splash resistant made of metal (aluminum) body. The handset is said to have three body colors Black, Blue and Red.
The Pocophone F2 would be powered by the latest Android Operating System, Android 9.0 (Pie) skinned with pre-installed MIUI 10 (Poco Customization) for a more beautiful interface.
Qualcomm is reported to launch Snapdragon 850 and 855 near in future and the recent Pocophone F1 has Snapdragon 845 SoC. Therefore, we are suggesting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 chipset for the Pocophone F2. It will retain Octa-core processor and Adreno 630 GPU.
Xiaomi Poco F2 is rumored to come in three variants; the first one will have 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM while the second variant will get 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. On the other hand, the third variant of Poco F2 is said to have colossal 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM. Take it with a pinch of salt because the 12GB RAM is not yet official for any smartphone.
You will find the same 20MP Selfie Camera on the front of Poco F2 as of the Poco F1, but the Dual Rear Cameras would be upgraded to 16MP + 8MP. It will support AI Camera Technology for perfect beautiful shoots. Face ID and Fingerprint Unlock both would be available.
Xiaomi Pocophone F2 will get the same Li-Po 4000mAh non-removable battery for a long lasting performance. It will support 18W Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging. The Pocophone F2 will hit the same markets as that of Pocophone F1.
