Asus got the stage at MWC show in Barcelona and launched three stunning Zenfone 5 series smartphones - Zenfone 5 (2018), Zenfone 5 Lite and Zenfone 5z about which the Company's slogan is “Backto5”. Asus Zenfone 5 Lite is the affordable version of Zenfone 5 series smartphones. The Zenfone 5 Lite sports a 6.0" FHD+ display based on 18:9 aspect ratio. It is an elegant device crafted with Dual 2.5D curved glass. The highlight feature of handset is Ultra Wide Quad Camera technology – dual 12MP lenses on front and dual 16MP snappers on back. Ordinary smartphones often get 80 degree wide angle camera but the Zenfone 5 Lite has 120 degree wide angled optics on front as well as on rear. In addition, Selfie Camera brings a new feature “Wefie” which offers you better selfie experience. There are four further modes, Selfie with Background, Selfie with Myself, Portrait and scenery mode. Zenfone 5 Lite comes in two versions; standard model has Snapdragon 430 and the premium model has Snapdragon 630 chipset. The device is juiced with 3300mAh battery and supported with Fast Charging Option. Asus Zenfone 5 Lite is available in three colors including Rogue Red, Moonlight White and Midnight Black.
The most interesting thing is top notch of Zenfone 5 (2018). The Zenfone notch is 26% smaller than iPhone X top notch. The Screen measures 6.2 inches diagonally. The display has amazing 19:9 aspect ratio. Asus Zenfone 5 (2018) has 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution, fresh ZenUI 5 interface, and gaming optimized graphics. The Smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 636 SoC. The Zenfone 5 is supported with three types of intelligence, Deep learning, Machine learning and Artificial intelligence. All these offer you to have a smoother and better experience. It comes with AI Camera, AI Photo learning, AI Display, and even AI Charging to ensure your brilliant device can perform perfectly. Optics wise, the handset gets dual rear cameras powered by Spectra ISP to deliver you a unique shooting experience of photography. Selfie Camera has also augmented. Like the iPhone X and Galaxy S9, Asus Zenfone 5 (2018) offers you to create animated emoji which the brand called “ZENIMOJI”. In your video calls, you can make a fun by sending your feels and expressions to your friend. You are getting Face Unlock as well as faster Fingerprint. You can swipe up/down with your fingerprint sensor which equipped brilliantly on rear. The Zenfone 5 will be offered in two variants, 4GB and 6GB RAM along with 64GB and 128GB Memory respectively.
Coming to the next, Asus Zenfone 5z has the same design, display and features but it comes with the most efficient chipset of its era, The Snapdragon 845. Moreover, Asus Zenfone 5z is aided by 8GB RAM and 256GB Storage. Asus announced that Zenfone 5z cheaper variants will also be made available.
Pre-orders have started now. Asus Zenfone 5 Lite will be released in March and Zenfone 5 (2018) will be launched in April whereas the Zenfone 5z will be shipped in June.
