The Android 8.1 Oreo beta update is now available on Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones. The update is roll out via OTA. You have no need to upgrade to Android 8.0 you can directly install 8.1 OS. This Oreo beta update weighs 41MB in Pixel 2 and 43MB in Pixel 2 XL. Google Nexus smartphones and the devices which are running Android 8.0 are also getting this update.
Google has not official anything for the Oreo beta update for the other smartphones but we hope other mid and high-end Android based smartphones will also get the Android 8.1 update whereas the low-end devices will get Android Oreo Go Edition update via OTA.
