In May, a well-known tipster revealed the existence of the Samsung Galaxy Fold Lite foldable smartphone. He had revealed the key specs of the device that is said to be codenamed as ‘Winner 2.’ The device was expected to launch this year. However, a fresh report from a South Korean publication suggests that the Galaxy Fold Lite will break cover next year with a pricing of $900.
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Fold 2, Galaxy Note 20 series, and Galaxy Z Flip 5G on August 5. Citing information received from industry sources, a South Korean publication reported that the Samsung Fold Lite will not be announced at the same event. The rumored pricing of $900 is quite low compared to the original Galaxy Fold that was introduced last year for $1,980. Samsung Galaxy Fold Lite is expected to power by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. The foldable phone may come with an aluminum build and glass on its exterior. It is said to have a dual rear camera setup including a 12MP primary sensor and a 12MP telephoto sensor.
